Special glass adapters for specific liquid applications

Microscopic imaging of cancer cells makes it possible to identify changes that are characteristic of cancer. These changes include unusual cell size and shape, abnormal patterns of cells in tissue, abnormal cell nuclei and other pathological features.

Cancer research using microscopic methods therefore requires the use of coverslips to grow the cells to be analysed. This poses a number of problems related to the need to culture cells on slides under appropriate conditions and to ensure that the coverslip containing the cells is placed on the microscope stage for in vitro experiments. The setup shown in Figure 1 is commonly used for these purposes.

Microscopic imaging of cancer cells provides the ability to identify changes that are characteristic of cancer. These changes include, for example, unusual cell size and shape, abnormal patterns of cells in the tissue, abnormal cell nuclei, and other pathological features.

In cancer research using microscopic methods, there is thus a need for the use of coverslips to grow the cells to be analysed. Our customised solution

There are different types of adapters for different sizes of coverslips used in microscopy. These adapters are used to fix and stabilise the coverslip on the stage to ensure optimum image quality and minimise unwanted movement. Some adapters are designed to allow quick and easy changing of coverslips during observation. Choosing the right adapter depends on the size and shape of the coverslip being used, as well as the type of microscope and stage. When selecting an adapter, it is important to ensure that it is compatible with the specific microscope and allows for proper placement of the coverslip on the stage. Our custom solution is structurally and functionally adapted to OKOLAB products (heated chambers). Our design also focuses on easy handling of the assembly, allowing quick replacement of coverslips with cultured cells, while ensuring fixation in the OKOLAB heated chamber.

Suitable for most advanced coverslip applications
